The Best Dupes

For those of you who have been following along, you know that I am not one to spend a lot on clothes. Why? Well, to simply put it, I think dupes are always the way to go. I mean, why spend $300 on a dress that is going to hang in the back of your closet? How often do you hear yourself saying, "I can't wear this dress, because so and so already saw me in this outfit" or "Wow, I can't believe this was in style last year".

Today's post, I am going to run you through some of my favorite dupes for this season! If you're anything like me, you won't be able to believe that you have spent all these years buying items that can so often be found at a cheaper price. I guess what I am trying to say is, do your research.

I can still remember sitting in a classroom in Florence during my study abroad trip junior year. My professor, Claudio, was quite possibly the most trendy man I have ever met. Not only did he write for Vogue Italy, but he also knew everything about everything in the fashion industry. I mean, he lived in Milan, worked with several well-known designer brands (Tods and Prada to name a few) and when he wasn't teaching a class of 25 students desiring to live his exact life, he was traveling around Europe to fashion shows. I mean, come on! Anyway, I can still remember the lesson we had on "fashion dupes" and the factories that most designers use. You guessed it- so many of those designer brands are using the same. exact. factory. as those cheap brands that we are shopping from. Imagine that.
